Small wonder from GM gets a facelift
Recently, durIng their centennial celebration, General Motors showcased a facelift version of their hatchback, the Beat, in Detroit.
The new car gets a revised front and rear end with slightly re-worked headlamps, new fog lamps, a revised grille, a slightly bigger bow-tie emblem, new ORVM and alloy wheels. We expect the car to appear in the Indian market by the end of this year or by early 2012.
Along with the new Beat, GM showcased a new family of engines, called ‘Ecotech’, the details of which have been given elsewhere in this bulletin.
GM also plan to launch an electric version of the Spark (called the Beat in India) abroad along with a right-hand drive Volt, which might make its way to India.
