British track-ready car brand Caterham, along with racing and sportscar equipment manufacturer Alpine, are set to co-develop a sportscar due to be launched in 2016.
Officials at Caterham have revealed that the vehicles final design has been given the green light by designers and technicians from both parties.
This new two-seater sports offering by Caterham will be known as the C120. Caterham technicians have also revealed details about its new engine. Stated to produce 252 PS, the power-to-weight ratio would make the C120 a perfect fit amongst the other big boys in the global sportscar segment.
Head honchos at Caterham are betting big with this 2016 offering. The British marque aims to sell no less than 3,000 units of the C120 each year. Caterham have not yet disclosed any other technical details and pricing has also been kept under wraps. Stay tuned for more updates.
