In an effort to consistently up their product range, German car makers Audi have announced the upgraded Q3 and RS Q3 for 2015 in the UK. Changes include an exhaustive addition of features and a 30 PS gain on the RS version. The new Q3 will also be available with 1.4L TFSI CoD power plant, which will up the performance by 10 PS and also promises a 13 per cent gain in fuel economy.
The changes to the exterior include a revised bumper, 3D effect single frame grille and new alloys. The headlamps will now house Xenon bulbs and LED daytime running lights and will be available in an SE version as well. The Q3 will be available with two TDI diesel and three TFSI petrol engine options.
The electronics package will feature the Audi drive select adaptive dynamics system as standard across all models. The features list also includes the dual zone climate control and an audio system with 6.5-inch retractable display screen.
The performance oriented RS version will be powered by a 2.5-litre five cylinder engine, which puts out 340 PS and 450 Nm of peak torque. Not only is the new mill more powerful by 30 PS over the outgoing version but also cleaner and compliant with the stringent Euro 6 norms.
Pricing and details about the cars’ entry in India still remain a question but should be answered in Jan 2015.
