Ashok Leyland have launched the Stile, a multi-purpose vehicle with equal doses of contemporary styling and practicality, built on a modern, award-winning vehicle platform.
The Stile is the second offering from the company in the light vehicle segment, after the Dost pick-up, which has enjoyed quite a bit of success since its launch. The Stile has been co-developed by the Ashok Leyland-Nissan Motor Company joint venture. It is being produced at Nissan’s plant in Oragadam, near Chennai. The Stile will be available in a number of seating configurations with two or three rows and seven or eight seats. It comes with a low floor and rear air-conditioning vents, adding to passenger comfort and convenience.
Power comes from the renowned 1.5-litre common-rail, direct injection, BS-IV compliant diesel engine which is tuned to produce 75 PS and 185 Nm of torque. It brings new levels of refinement and performance as well as a fuel economy figure of 19.5 km/l certified by the ARAI. The Stile is available in three variants – LE, LS and LX – starting from Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
