Aditya Patel is currently at the top of the championship table in the Audi R8 LMS cup after the three-race Taiwanese round in July. As of now, Aditya has scored four podiums in the seven races and is yet to materialise his efforts into a win. In the past, his progress has been stymied by tyre shenanigans despite having qualified on pole. The second half of the season will consist of three rounds with the forthcoming race in Malaysia. The Malaysian round will be followed by the Japanese and Chinese rounds, which will be a part of the FIA World Endurance Championship 2015.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back in the Audi R8 after such a long break. This is the first circuit this year that I have actually driven at before, so hopefully the experience will come in handy. I’ve been training hard physically during the break and hope to score my first win of the season this weekend,” said Aditya.
