Polaris India has announced the launch of two off-road circuits in Bengaluru at Play in Sarjapur and at Target Games & Facilities Pvt Ltd in Yeshwanthpur.
These will allow adventure and motorsports enthusiasts to experience off-road and uneven tracks on ATVs provided by Polaris.
Polaris manufactures a wide range of products for all age groups and various activities including recreation, sports, defence, beach and forest patrolling, rescue, and agriculture. These vehicles are powered by diesel, petrol or electric engines and their engine displacements range from 50-900cc.
AKB Motors, the official dealer of Polaris vehicles, offers the complete range of Polaris ATVs including side-by-side and youth models and also provides sales, spares and service to customers in the southern region. All vehicles for the new off-road tracks have been provided by AKB.
Speaking on the occasion, Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India, said that the off-roading segment had high potential in Bengaluru due to the city’s rich racing culture and variety of terrains. South India was an important market for the company, which planned to tap the interest and potential in this region by introducing more off-road tracks here and by increasing the number of such tracks from 13 to 25 by the end of the year.
Sharath Reddy, Owner, Play, commented on his delight at associating with Polaris and explained that the track offered the excitement of off-roading as well as a place for family entertainment. Alok, Owner, Target Games & Facilities, stated that their aim was to provide family fun time that was safe yet thrilling, be it for off-road enthusiasts or motorsports lovers.
The Sarjapur off-road track is spread over an area of approx 30,000 sq ft and offers 12 Polaris vehicles such as the Outlaw 50cc, Sportsman 90cc, RZR 170cc, Phoenix 200cc, Sportsman 400cc and RZR S 800cc. The track includes mounts, climbs, axel breakers, water pit, and side-inclined slope. The off-road entertainment zone has hospitality facilities, a workshop, first aid, training classes and other amusement areas.
The Yeshwanthpur track occupies an area of 20,000 sq ft of area with five Polaris ATVs including the Sportsman 90cc, RZR 170cc, Scrambler 500cc, Sportsman 400cc and Sportsman 500cc. The track offers a slush pit, humps, sand and stones.
The other off-road tracks in India with Polaris ATVs are located at Greater Noida, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Nagpur, Goa, Pune, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Munnar, and Chennai. The company currently has dealerships in 13 major cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Jaipur, Jammu, Ludhiana, Indore & Dehradun.
