Japanese brand Lexus have always been associated with luxury and are known for offering some of the most painstakingly built offerings in the automotive market.
At the ongoing Shanghai Motor Show, the prestige brand of Toyota have revealed their new 2013 GS 300h sedan. Sporting an all new 2.5 litre, four cylinder petrol mill with D-4S direct injection technology along with a new compact electric motor.
The most significant feature has been the downsized mill from its previous 3.5-liter V6. Officials at Lexus have stated that this step has been taken to improve economy and reduce emissions. On the cco-front the GS 300h puts out only 110 grams per kilometre of CO2, which is quite impressive for an E-segment saloon. Lexus will be launching the four-door sedan later this year, first in the UK market and then globally and with news doing the rounds that the luxury brand might enter the Indian market in the near future, expect it to get the GS 300h on our shores. The likes of Audi, BMW and Mercedes India better beware.
