Renault India today launched the Scala ‘Travelogue’ Edition,
incorporating accessories such as an integrated multimedia NAV system, rear sunshade, illuminated scuff plate, indicators integrated into the outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs), and a muffler cutter (chrome cover on the exhaust pipe). The touchscreen multimedia NAV system allows access to various in-car functions including voice-guided navigation, DVD player, Bluetooth, iPod and USB connectivity, and a reverse camera. The car also includes steering-mounted controls for added convenience and safety.
Speaking at the occasion, Sumit Sawhney, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Renault India Pvt. Ltd., said that the company had been successful in the market – despite steady challenges – by offering products in sync with the dynamic needs and aspirations of its customers. He felt that the new Scala Travelogue Edition was another step in this direction, offering a step up in terms of comfort, driving dynamics, fuel efficiency and innovation especially for summer drives, while continuing to offer the quality and elegance that the Scala is known for.
The Scala Travelogue Edition follows the September 2012 launch of the Scala in the Indian market and the recent launch of the Scala CVT. The Scala Travelogue Edition is available in the RxZ Diesel variant at a price of Rs 9.78 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be available at Renault dealerships across India from now till May 31, 2013.
