ZF-Hero Chassis Systems Pvt Ltd, a 50:50 joint venture, have inaugurated their new plant at Oragadam, Chennai to manufacture chassis modules for BMW

The new plant is spread over 75,000 sq ft and will assemble the front and rear axles for passenger cars from the BMW stable. This marks an important step towards the ‘Make-in-India’ philosophy which has become a focus of many an auto maker in the country. The BMW stable in India presently includes the 1, 3, 5, and 7 Series, the X1, X3 and X5, and the MINI line, comprising the Cooper and Cooper Countryman.
