Force India F1 builds the launch pad for aspiring and potential racers of tomorrow
Young talent aiming to scale the peak of car racing is finally set to enter the proper channel that will take them from the basics to even Formula One one day.
Force India F1 along with Exxon Mobil has launched the first of its kind Force India F1 Team Academy in India that will select talented drivers through an extremely intensive programme that moves up in three levels.
The first level will be a regional selection through a karting event that extends over a week. This will be held across seven cities in the country and fourteen drivers from each city will be selected. Two wild card entries will be added to these to complete the 100 drivers who proceed to the second level. This will be a national level selection in which the participants will race against each other to grab a spot in the top ten. These ten will move on to be the finalists who will be taken to Silverstone, UK, for training as well as competing. The winner from these ten will get to drive a complete competitive season in UK while the first runner up will compete in the Indian national championship. The second runner up will be awarded with training in an Asian race school.
This selection will be conducted every two years and the details for the same will be available on www.onefromabillion.com.
