Bentley are set to introduce a more powerful avatar of the Flying Spur four-door super-luxury saloon at the Geneva Motor Show this month: the V8S.
The new, more powerful V8S variant is identified by the black radiator grille with a new grille insert, a rear diffuser, and a ‘V8S’ badge on the rear quarter panel. A new wheel design also appears and the size grows to 20″.
The V8S gets the tuned up 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo petrol engine making 528 PS and 680 Nm: up 21 PS and 20 Nm over the standard specification, while weighing just the same. As a result the performance figures see a jump with 0-100 km/h now taking 4.9 seconds, with top speed rated at 306 km/h. The engine also incorporates cylinder deactivation: shutting down four cylinders when needed. The V8S also boasts of revised suspension for even tighter handling.
It should make its way to India following the global roll-out at a price of around Rs 3.4 crore.
