Porsche India has appointed EVM Premium Cars India Pvt. Ltd. as its eighth dealer in India and the first in the state of Kerala.
The Kochi dealership becomes part of the other seven retail entities by Porsche India, which are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. In all of these locations, customers will see the opening of world-class Porsche Centres in the coming months, with the first facility planned to open in Mumbai in August.
On the newest addition to the network, Anil Reddi, Director of Porsche India, says: “Kochi is home to a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the awareness of Porsche amongst our prospective customers is promising. We are pleased to announce our upcoming presence in this vibrant market and look forward to serving discerning automotive enthusiasts not only in the commercial capital of Kerala, but in the entire state.”
With a contemporary facility to be located in the thriving automotive hub of Kochi Bypass Maradu, the new Porsche Centre Kochi is poised to open up the luxury sports car market in the state. Work on the new showroom is set to begin in September this year with an opening envisaged for mid-2014. For the interim, Porsche will be working out of a temporary facility at Kalamassery starting in August.
