Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, has announced the appointment of Steffen Fleck as Director for a new Network Development department which opens in line with the company’s 2018 growth strategy.

Within this newly-created role, Fleck will be responsible for managing and developing the importer and dealer network to enhance Porsche’s business in existing as well as new markets across the Middle East, Africa (excluding the Maghreb states) and India. In this role, the focus will be on identifying white spot opportunities for growth, the set-up of new Porsche investor agreements and showroom facilities, as well as managing corporate identity and service standards.

George Wills, Managing Director of Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE, commented: “Our 2018 strategy is focused around the investment in our people and enhancing our business in the region. The introduction of a Network Development operation and the appointment of Steffen Fleck to oversee it are paramount to this strategy. We are excited about a bright future with existing and new partners alike as we continue to work towards our growth target.”

Fleck’s appointment comes after a successful first half of 2013 which saw Porsche Middle East and Africa sales increase more than 50 per cent compared to the same period in 2012. With the introduction of the Network Development department, Porsche stands to capitalise on the strength of its current market position and growing customer base, thanks to an exciting new model range. The new Porsche Panamera – including Porsche’s first plug-in hybrid drive in the luxury class, the Panamera S E-Hybrid – has just arrived. The year will also see a focus on the 50th anniversary of the legendary 911, with the introduction of three new 911 models: the 911 GT3, 911 Turbo S and the 911 50th Anniversary Edition. Preparations for the launch of the all-new Porsche Macan, a sporty SUV in the premium segment set to arrive in 2014, are also under way.

Steffen Fleck takes on the role with more than nine years’ experience with Porsche across Marketing, Volume Planning and Sales. He has gained a thorough understanding of the region and its opportunities during his last six years with Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE.
