Revised car to be showcased at Geneva Motor Show
TALK OF NEW AND INTERESTING exotic cars and foremost among the names that come to the mind is the new Ferrari California.
The revised California will be showcased atthe Geneva Motor Show next month and is said to be lighter and more powerful thanits predecessor.
Ferrari have succeeded in bringing down the weight of this car by using new aluminium fabrication techniques and construction technology. However, the company makes it clear that there has been no compromise so far as the structural rigidity of this car is concerned. The California will come with a 4.3-litre V8, churning out an extra 30 PS of power (488 PS now) because of its new exhaust manifolds and engine mapping. With a maximum torque of 504 Nm, the torque curve has also been modifi ed and is higher across the rev range.
Ferrari have also tweaked the California’s steering rack to be 10 per cent quicker and beefed up the springs by 15 per cent toimprove body control for a more focused driving experience.
