BMW have launched the new X3 in India, armed with an updated engine and two trim levels.
The new BMW X3 brings new style and equipment and the most modern iteration of BMW’s 20d driveline. The X3 has been launched in Expedition and xLine trims, which pack in equipment for both worlds – life on the highway, and the rough.
The new xDrive 20d driveline mates the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo diesel engine, which now makes 190 PS and 400 Nm, to the 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive system. Unlike what we expected earlier, this is the only driveline launched in India, for now. The six-cylinder engined 30d is no longer available.
The Expedition, priced at Rs 44.90 lakh (ex-Delhi) is the first of the two, with Sensatec upholstery, three drive modes: ECO PRO, Comfort and Sport, and 17” wheels wrapped in 225/60 tyres. The xLine, priced at Rs 49.90 (ex-Delhi) is the more equipped variant, with Leather upholstery, an added Sport+ drive mode and Performance Control for individual drive wheels, 18” wheels in 245/50 tyres, satinated roof rails, panoramic sunroof and xLine styling on the exterior and interior.
The new X3 will available in dealerships across India over the coming days.
