The Valencia GP was full of drama and some great racing as Michael Schumacher was back to where he rightly belong on the podium, finishing 3rd in the highly action-packed Valencia GP.

But it was the blazing Ferrari of local boy Fernando Alonso who came out on top. A day where neither Hamilton nor Vettel finished the race, the Spaniard was able to take a healthy lead on the overall championship standings.

The Valencia GP had red written all over it as former world champion with Ferrari Kimi Raikkonen came in 2nd with his Lotus. This is the very first podium finish on the McLaren for the 7 time world champion, the last time Schumacher attained a podium finish was at the 2006 Chinese GP, when he was a part of the Prancing Horse. With the champagne in his hands at the podium, we felt as if the times had rolled back when this German Legend used to be in his prime, we hope this is certainly not the last time we see Michael getting a podium finish or even winning a race.

After the Valencia GP Alonso has moved upto 111 points on the overall championship points, Webber on 91. While Hamilton is on 88 and Vettel on 85, Rosberg moves to fifth on 75 and Raikkonen to sixth on 73.
