Mercedes-Benz India launched the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S at Rs 1.3 crore, (ex-showroom, Delhi). Awarded the tag of the ‘World Car of the Year’, the AMG C 63 S is the 10th AMG model to be launched in the country.
The AMG C 63 S is powered by a familiar 4.0-litre V8 BiTurbo petrol engine that puts out a peak 510 PS at 5,500 RPM and 700 Nm, which kicks in at 1,750 RPM and stays flat till 4,500 RPM. Transmission is via the AMG SpeedShift MCT 7-speed automatic driving the rear wheels. The claimed 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 4.0 seconds with the top speed limited to 250 km/h.
The car gets a techno-package worthy of its more than healthy output with the AMG Dynamic Select transmission modes offering five choices – Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Race and Individual.
