Mahindra and Mahindra, have officially launched their new compact Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV), the Quanto at a lavish function in Mumbai today.
The new compact MUV offering from Mahindra is powered by a new 1493cc diesel engine which is capable of churning out 100PS and 239 Nm of torque and comes equipped with a five-speed gearbox transmission. The Quanto is based on the Xylo, infact the Quanto is like a chopped-up compact version of the Xylo. Having the same design elements visually as the Xylo. The Quanto is being offered in four diffrent variants (C2,C4,C6 and C8) by Mahinda.
Mahindra officials at the launch have also disclosed that, a new 4×4 variant is on the cards which would be equipped with the a 2.2L engine similar to the Xylo. The price of the Quanto has been disclosed at 5.82L to 7.36L (ex-showroom, Thane). The Quanto is stated to compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Chevrolet Tavera.
