Mahindra launch their third sub-four metre vehicle – the KUV100, and it is priced at Rs 4.2 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 5.5 lakh for the diesel variant.
KUV100 where k stands for ‘Kool’ is powered by all-new mFALCON petrol and diesel engines. The mFALCON D75 diesel engine churns out 77 PS at 3750 and 190 Nm of torque at 1750-2250, while the mFALCON G80 petrol engine produces 82 PS at 5500 and 115 Nm of torque at 3500-3600.
The KUV’s design cues and chassis are borrowed from its bigger sibling the XUV500. Apart from this Mahindra’s mini SUV gets follow-me-home lamps, skid plates, and lots of LED – on the DRLs, indicators and fog lamps! On the inside the KUV gets bench seats at the front and back, multi-functional steering wheel, cooled glove box, infotainment system and two drive modes – Power and Eco.
The KUV100 will lock horns with the recently launched Renault Quid, Tata Bolt and Maruti WagonR. Catch the detailed review in our February issue.
