Isuzu Motors India culminated their three-day Isuzu Max Run Challenge where their D-Max pick-up trucks covered Vijayawada to Mumbai in one full tank.
On the challenge, the D-Max managed to achieve an average fuel efficiency figure of 18.3 km/l. The evaluators for the challenge were KPMG India process advisors. The Isuzu Max Run Challenge was a three-day drive organized by Isuzu Motors India Private Limited between Vijayawada and Mumbai held from September 23 to 25. Starting from Vijayawada, three Isuzu D-Max pick-up trucks drove though Hyderabad, Solapur and Pune before reaching Mumbai, thus covering the distance of more than 1,000 km with just one tank of fuel. The vehicles were equipped with the GPS Telemetry System in order to facilitate the exact kilometres travelled and track the drive in real time.
The D-Max is powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel motor makes 136 PS and 294 Nm of torque and remains one of the most formidable names in world-wide diesel pick-ups. Isuzu have been strengthening their dealer network and we should see more examples from Japanese giant soon.
