The highly anticipated Honda Amaze is set to hit showroom floors in the country in mid-April.
Speaking to the media, Honda officials have revealed that the launch date of the Brio-based saloon will be on 16th of April in the country. The Japanese company will offer the Amaze in both diesel and petrol variants. The entry-level saloon for the Honda stable will be offered with the same 1.2 litre Brio petrol engine, while the diesel variant will be powered by an all-new 1.5 litre engine. Apparently, Honda have enough cars in stock to meet the expected initial demand of the Amaze.
Based on similar design influences as the Brio, the Amaze gets styling tweaks both in the interior and exterior of the car. A direct competition to the likes of the Maruti-Suzuki Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios, Tata Manza and Mahindra Verito; it’s pricing which will surely determine this new entrant’s success in the highly-competitive entry-level sedan segment.
