Elevating the sex appeal of this baby even further is the new, bigger grille with Audi’s latest hexagonal inlay and that contrasting silver rim on the edges. The chin spoiler, air-dam scoops and the wing mirrors are now dyed in the same silver shade as the grille rim, perfectly accentuating the sporty character of the RS 7. However, nothing accentuates this car’s sportiness more than its coupé-like profile. The roof-line flows down and meets the rear end in a very elegant way. The strong shoulder-line, flared wheel-arches and the side-skirt proclaim its athletic physique. The RS 7’s footwear also attracts enough attention. The 21-inch, five-spoke, dual-tone glossy alloys with 275/30 profile rubber look great on it, while the massive petal brake rotors and those six-piston RS branded callipers up front look drop-dead gorgeous.

Things are pretty much the same at the back except for the LED tail-lamps, which are now arranged differently. And just like the front, they too feature dynamic turn indicators and Y-shaped lights. Much of the rear end has not really changed much, and it still works for me as it looks awe-inspiring, especially during night-time when those LEDs work their magic on you if you are following an RS 7.

The new exterior depicts the RS 7’s athletic ability and its sleek profile and the slightly reworked interior clearly showcase its classiness. As I was admiring the exterior, Sanjay shouted that it was high time we moved on. As soon as I sat in the ultra-supportive sports seats, I realised just how elegant this cabin is. There is abundance of fine leather (which, I am sure, is of the highest quality), aluminium and carbon-fibre. The immaculately designed dashboard has intricately detailed elements that exude class. Carbon-fibre inlays in the dashboard and on the transmission tunnel simply shout about the racing character of the RS 7. And the leather-wrapped, perfectly-sized flat-bottom steering wheel goes like – race, race, race. Analogue instrument pods have been retained, but the central information screen in now new, and when you switch to maps on that screen, you can see the display in a style similar to that in the TT. However, the instrumentation is not completely digital as in the sports car.
