6-July-CI-Wed-2Pune’s DSK Supinfocom school among seven finalists
THE FIRST PART OF THE FERRARI World Design Contest selection process has been concluded.

The Contest has been launched by the manufacturer from Maranello in collaboration with Autodesk, Ferrari’s technical partner and supporter of the project, for 50 prestigious international design schools. The seven fi nalist schools, with students from all over the world, will be involved in planning the Ferrari of the future. The fi nalists are: IED and IAAD of Turin (Italy), the London Royal College of Arts (UK), the European Design Institute, Barcelona (Spain), Seoul’s Hong-ik College (Korea), the DSK Supinfocom, Pune (India) and the College For Creative Studies, Detroit (USA).

The more than 200 projects that arrived at Maranello showed great attention to lowering fuel consumption combined with alternative powertrains, mainly focused on hybrids. It was a diffi cult selection process for the jury headed by Luca di Montezemolo, who decided unanimously to raise the number of fi nalists to seven owing to the quality of work. Earlier, six schools were scheduled for the fi nal stage. Following the announcement of the results in July the winners will win an internship at Ferrari and cash prizes.
