The Fabia Scout was spotted on test outside Pune
Skoda India seems to be getting ready to expand its Fabia range in the Indian market by adding the Scout version of their hatchback to the lineup. We spotted the Skoda Fabia Scout being tested on the outskirts of Pune.
Being driven on a section of NH4, the Scout had absolutely no camouflages on it.
The Scout is basically a Fabia that’s designed for a little bit of off-road, or rather, dusty terrain. The lower part of the body has plastic trim to save the metal body and chassis from flying gravel. A diffuser on the rear bumper adds a hint of off-roader look to the hatch. From the inside, the Fabia will be more or less the same as the standard version. On the engine front, we expect a 1.6 TDi engine to power the Fabia Scout initially. However, we can’t rule out a 1.2 TSI engine option to come in later that is already available in the international market.
