The time has almost come, BMW are soon to take the covers of their high-performance M Division SUVs – the X5 M and the X6 M, which will make their live début at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
BMW launch their all-new M version SUV cars, featuring a new engine, transmission and styling. Under the hood is the newly developed 4.4-litre, TwinPower Turbo V8 engine. With a set of twin-scroll turbochargers, producing 575 PS and 750 Nm of torque (20 PS and 70 Nm more than their predecessors) and, is mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission called M Steptronic with Drivelogic technology. Both cars clock the 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
Other highlights in both the X5 M and X6 M include large air intakes up front, signature “M” wing mirrors, rear spoilers, 21-inch “M” wheels and the “M” badging on the sport seats, gear-shift paddles and steering wheel. BMW say the cars will go on sale next year.
