Consolidating its portfolio, Bentley unveiled its 2012 Continental GT in India; available for Rs 1.90 crore, the handcrafted masterpiece offers raised power output than its predecessors.
Built on Bentley’s globally popular GT platform, the latest model offers the 6-litre, W12 engine with raised power output of 575PS and 700Nm of torque. The last Continental GT model is known to have a power output of 500PS from the same W12 engine. The motor is mated to a six speed ‘Quickshift’ transmission which enables smoother gear shifts, thereby reducing the time taken by almost 50 per cent. This feature enables the car to achieve 100kmph from standstill in just 4.60 seconds. Making the latest GT version greener, Bentley has deployed the ‘flexfuel’ technology which enables the car to not only run on unleaded petrol but also on bio-ethanol (up to E85 grade) or even a mixture of both. The car would be sold by New Delhi based Exclusive Motors for Rs 1.90 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
