Japanese tyre makers Yokohama Rubber have announced a series of short films with Chelsea Football Club from the Premier League in England. The new series is set to consist of five short movies.
Yokohama Rubber who entered into a partnership with Chelsea FC back in July 2015, have now launched a new short movie series to enhance their global presence. The new short movies will be released every two weeks and will be launched in 12 different languages starting with English and Japanese and followed by release in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese, and Mandarin Chinese. The first two movies in the series have already been posted on the Chelsea FC, YOKOHAMA × Chelsea FC, and Yokohama Rubber’s official social network sites.
The new short movies will have five themes: ‘Power’, ‘Speed’, ‘Trust’, ‘Endurance’, and ‘Innovation’, with each theme linking the skills of a Chelsea player with Yokohama Rubber’s attitude toward the manufacturing of products with high quality and performance. The theme of the first short movie is ‘Power’, and therefore appropriately features the mighty and powerful striker Diego Costa, a key component in Chelsea FC’s ability to break through oppositions’ defences. The movie introduces Yokohama’s “GEOLANDAR” tyres for SUVs, which claims to deliver excellent ride on any road surface and demonstrate Yokohama’s spirit of challenging the most difficult conditions.
The theme of second movie is ‘Speed’, exemplified by Chelsea midfielder Willian with his ability to run past opposing defences. The movie introduces Yokohama’s global flagship “ADVAN” brand, which is a result of the company’s endeavour to develop tyres well-suited to the demands of motorsports and claim to deliver superior high-speed performance on street sports cars.
With the Premier League season drawing to a conclusion in May and Chelsea FC sitting well at the top of the standings following their 4-2 victory against Southampton for the 2016/17 season, things are looking good for Chelsea FC fans and Yokohama alike.
