Lamborghini have brought in the new, lighter and faster Huracán Performante to India. The new Huracán Performante, launched in India from Rs 3.97 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), is the fastest production car around the fearsome ‘Green Hell’ – Nürburgring, Nordschleife in Germany – setting a time of 6’52.10, beating the remarkable Porsche 918 Spyder by 4.9 seconds.
The Huracán Performante is the third Lamborghini car to be launched in India this year following the success of the Huracán RWD Spyder and its bigger sibling the Aventador S. Under the hood the Huracán Performante packs the same 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine which produces 640 PS and 600 Nm. The new car is also 40 kg lighter than the standard Huracán. The power is fed to all-four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Huracán Performante will accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and power on till its (limited) top speed of 325 km/h.
The new Lamborghini Huracán Performante has already established its credentials as a thoroughbred Italian supercar when it was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The new Lamborghini Huracán Performante has been launched in India with its price set at Rs 3.97 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
