Tata Motors have unveiled their Concept CURVV, its newest electric SUV. The new concept SUV is likely to hit the market within the next two years, according to the automaker.
Since the debut of the Nexon EV in 2020, Tata Motors has been on a clear EV attack. This was followed by the recent debut of the Tigor EV and the upcoming launch of the Tata Nexon EV long-range version. The Curvv SUV Concept, which gives us an insight into the Indian automaker’s future EV intentions, has been unveiled. The Curvv is expected to hit the market later in 2024. It does, however, introduce a fresh design ethos, a redesigned interior, and better structure.
Tata Motors is a market leader in India’s SUV business, and it promises that Concept CURVV will continue the tradition. The concept is a progressive and sophisticated SUV that represents simplicity in complexity, according to the business, with the design philosophy of ‘Less is More.’
The elevated bonnet has horizontal LED DRLs that run the length of it. The triangle fog lamp housing is located further down the bumper, coupled with a gloss black insert at the bumper’s edge. The sloping coupe-like appearance towards the C-pillar is the most appealing feature. The squared-off wheel arches, panelling at the bottom of the doors, and dual-tone alloy wheels add to the roughness. Moving to the back, there’s a single-piece LED stripe that spans the length of the boot, which is emphasised even more by the triangle cut-out on the bumper. A modern touch is provided by the gloss black roof and the red LED around the windscreen.

Tata Motors stated that the new Generation 2 EV architecture will be advanced, flexible, and capable of multi-powertrain options, and that products based on this architecture will be crafted to deliver a longer range while maintaining the credibility and reliability standards established by the Generation 1 products powered by Ziptron.
Tata Motors controls approximately 90% of India’s electric vehicle market. In the fiscal year that ended March 31, it sold 19,000 electric vehicles, up from 4,200 the previous year. Tata will initially introduce the Curvv SUV with an electric motor, continuing the EV onslaught. This will be followed by its ICE counterpart in the near future. The Tata Curvv is set to go into production in 2024 and make its premiere the following year.
