Braking duties are done by two pairs of ventilated discs (a pair for the front and another for the rear) with ABS, EBD, ESP, tandem brake booster, etc. Hit the brakes in a real hurry and the lithe sportback sheds speed as rapidly as it had gained velocity. Needless to say, there is enough and more bite. It’s also very progressive and you know exactly how much pressure you need to apply to bring the thing to a stop.

Yes, I’d stick my neck out and say that Audi have a damn good compromise with the S5 and that, in our books, makes it a great car.
