Porsche India have introduced the go faster Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS with more powerful engines and PASM.
The new Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS will sport the engines from their S versions – the 3.4-litre flat-six units – but tuned up to produce 15 PS more: 330 PS in the Boxster GTS and 340 PS in the Cayman GTS. Torque also goes up by 10 Nm. Both GTS models also receive as standard the Sports Chrono package and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Porsche claim that the Cayman GTS will hit 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, when equipped with the optional Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) twin-clutch automatic gearbox and in Sport Plus mode. The Boxster GTS will do it in 4.7 seconds.
One of the main additions – PASM – will allow the whole character of the chassis to be changed at the touch of a button, enabling drivers to switch to a higher comfort mode or a sharper, sportier mode within milliseconds. More changes come in the form of 20” Carrera S wheels wrapped in 235-section front and 265-section rear rubber, each running a low 35 profile. The headlamp cluster is a blackened bi-xenon setup with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) while the rear gets distinguished ‘GTS’ lettering in silky black gloss. On the inside, sports seats are standard as are the leather upholstery with Alcantara elements.
The Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS are available to order now with deliveries commencing as soon as May 2014.
