Now buying the most powerful MINI Cooper S becomes easier but only for a few lucky individuals
BMW India have launched the MINI Cooper S Carbon Edition, the most powerful MINI in India, in a unique way that allows customers to book the car through Amazon.in. The new Mini Cooper S Carbon Edition is priced at Rs 39.90 lakh (ex-showroom), unfortunately, only 20 examples of the special edition MINI will be made available in India.
Apart from the beautiful looks, the main change in the Carbon Edition comes in the form of increased power and torque. The 1998 cc, turbocharged, in-line four-cylinder petrol motor produces 210 PS and 300 Nm of torque, which is 18 PS and 20 Nm more than the standard Cooper S. The increase in power and torque has been made possible by the addition of the John Cooper Works or JCW tuning kit. With the new kit, MINI claim that the Carbon Edition goes from 0 – 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. The company also claims that the fuel-efficiency has improved as the Carbon Edition returns 15.7 km/l.
Apart from the engine enhancement, the Carbon Edition also gets a JCW accessory package, which makes the car appear sportier than the standard variant.
