In a voluntary move to mitigate any possible failures, Maruti-Suzuki has recalled the recently launched Ciaz Sedan. The company has expressed concerns over the operation of the clutch. The affected vehicles were produced before November 7th this year.
Speaking about the recall, Maruti-Suzuki issued a statement that said, “The Company has decided to undertake a service campaign for these cars, in the interest of customers. Maruti Suzuki dealers have started to communicate with owners of the impacted vehicles”. The vehicles will be inspected and rectified free-of-cost to the customers.
Recalls have been on the rise since the Society of Indian Auto Manufacturers (SIAM) revised the laws on voluntary recalls in 2012. These have proven to be beneficial to the company as well as the customers in the long run.
