Mercedes-Benz India have introduced the 2017 CLA-Class in both diesel and petrol.
The new Mercedes-Benz 2017 CLA 200 models have arrived. Featuring stylish lines complemented by new LED headlamps and a sharper front grille, the new CLA hopes to sustain the promising sales achieved by the MFA platform cars, the CLA-, A-, B-, GLA-Class cars included, which have crossed 11,500 units. The CLA-Class has been well-received on account of its four-door coupé styling derived from its lager sibling, the beautiful CLS-Class.
The new CLA-Class gets a petrol and a diesel engine carried forward from the car it replaces. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four with 184 PS and 300 Nm, and the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four with 136 PS and 300 Nm, both continue with the seven-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive. The CLA 200 petrol is available in one trim: Sport, priced at Rs 33.68 lakh. The CLA 200 d diesel is available in two trims: Style, priced at Rs 31.40 lakh, and Sport, priced at Rs 34.68 lakh, all ex-showroom, Delhi.
Globally, the AMG CLA 45 has also been upgraded and now delivers 381 PS from 1,991 cc; still the most powerful series-production four-cylinder engine in the world. It should make its way to our shores in the near future too. Mercedes-Benz India have promised yet another, their 13th, launch before the end of 2016. Watch this space.
