The two-time MotoGP champion, whose contract with Yamaha is under negotiations, recently visited the Ferrari factory at Maranello.
The 458 Italia, LaFerrari and the F12 Berlinetta are all assembled at this factory.
The Cobra took a day off to travel to Italy and visit the factory before the race at Sachsenring, Germany on the 13th of this month. While touring the factory, Lorenzo agreed to do a short interview for Ferrari. The Ferrari 458 Italia and FF are visible behind him during the interview.
He spoke briefly of his racing experience at the 24 hour race at Montmelo, Barcelona where his team came in fifth overall and first in their category. When prompted, he said that although he enjoyed four-wheel racing, he wouldn’t consider shifting from MotoGP. When asked about the experience of racing alongside the venerable Rossi, Lorenzo said that racing with and against someone who is so skilled helps keep him on his toes and forces him to do his best. He also mentioned the large amounts of practice and exercise needed to be able to compete against Rossi.
