Jaguar Land Rover India have now opened bookings for the new diesel variants of the smallest wildcat in their ecosystem, the Jaguar XE.
The Jaguar XE has been on sale since February 2016, and now the brand have announced that they are accepting bookings for the new diesel variants of the XE as well. The new diesel-powered Jag packs an Ingenium 2.0-litre, turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine which develops 180 PS and 430 Nm; the same engine seen in the bigger Jaguar XF and the new F-Pace SUV. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox driving the rear wheels.
Rohit Suri, Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd, said “In the past one year, Jaguar XE has gained immense popularity and success in the Indian market and we are now pleased to offer the choice of diesel to our customers.”
