After taking home two prizes including the big one at Car India’s very own awards, the new Hyundai Santro has been shortlisted in the prestigious World Car of the Year or WCOTY’s Urban Car category as well.
The compact hatch from Hyundai took home our Entry Level Hatchback of the Year and Automobile of the Year Award (the latter the biggest award on the night), and is now set to battle it out for the Urban Car category on the world stage against the Audi A1, Kia Soul, SEAT Arona, and Suzuki Jimny.
We’ll have to wait and see if the Santro does take this global award as well, but winner or not, there’s no denying that the diminutive Korean hatch has won the hearts of many a patron the world over.
