Porsche have introduced their first station-wagon – the Panamera Sport Turismo. Oh, and it’s luxurious and rather good-looking.
Building on the newly-ignited excitement for the new Panamera four-door and the long-wheelbase Panamera Executive, Porsche have gone ahead and introduced an estate version of the Panamera called the Sport Turismo, true to the concept they had shown the world some time ago.
The new Panamera Sport Turismo five-door shares most dimensions with the four-door model, including its 5,049-mm length, 1,937-mm width and 2,950-mm wheelbase, with a height of 1,428 mm. The big change to its appearance is evident side-on and from the rear with the swoopy tail replaced with a chiselled rear that incorporates a power tail-gate. There will be wheel options up to 21 inches, which is apparent going by the size of the wheel-wells…
The Sport Turismo is now available in Germany with a choice of six powertrains: two turbo-petrol V6s, an e-turbo-diesel V8, a turbo-petrol V8 with a pair of e-hybrids with a turbo-petrol V6 and a V8. Power outputs range from 330 PS to 680 PS. All cars use the new eight-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission driving all four wheels.
Before we forget, the Panamera Sport Turismo does get a more substantial boot volume as well: 495 litres, with up to 1,304 litres available with the rear seats folded down.
Pricing for the new Panamera Sport Turismo (ex-Stuttgart) is as follows:
Panamera 4 Sport Turismo: €97,557 (Rs 70.24 lakh)
Panamera 4 e-hybrid Sport Turismo: €112,075 (Rs 80.69 lakh)
Panamera 4S Sport Turismo: €120,048 (Rs 86.43 lakh)
Panamera 4S Diesel Sport Turismo: €123,975 (Rs 89.26 lakh)
Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo: €158,604 (Rs 1.14 crore)
Panamera Turbo S e-hybrid Sport Turismo: €199,183 (Rs 1.43 crore)
