The limited Ford Aspire Blu Edition has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Ford Aspire continues to be amongst the most feature-rich compact sedans and delivers outstanding value for money with a segment-first five-year/1,00,000-kilometre warranty. The new Ford Aspire Blu Edition is available in top-of-the-line “Titanium” trim and is offered with either a 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel. They are priced at Rs 7.41 lakh for the petrol and Rs 8.21 lakh for the diesel variant, which translates to a premium of Rs 25,000 over the regular Titanium variant of the Aspire.
The naturally aspirated, three-cylinder, 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine is capable of producing 96 PS and 120 Nm of peak torque, whereas the bigger 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine produces 100 PS and 215 Nm. Both these powertrains are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Ford claim the fuel efficiency of these engines to be 20.4 km/l and 25.5 km/l respectively.
The 15-inch alloy wheels, shod in 195/55 rubber, the cellular grille, and the mirrors on the Ford Aspire Blu Edition have been finished in a premium black shade. It also gets a dual-tone roof, providing a more sporty and aggressive persona, as well as black and blue Ford ‘Blu’ decals running along the bottom of the doors, and the boot. Both the variants of the Ford Aspire ‘Blu’ Edition are available in three shades namely: Moondust Silver, Oxford White and Smoke Gray.
The cabin remains well-equipped and comes adorned with features such as push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, a rear-view camera, a 7.0-inch infotainment system among many others and has been finished in all-black with accents of blue, complementing the ‘Blu’ badge.
