Italians are crazy, everything they do is simply amazing, for example, this tiny little Fiat Abarth 500, which has been re-branded as the 695 Biposto.
Fiat launched this maniac car at the Geneva Motor Show just so they could grab everybody’s attention. Anyway, what they actually did was, they took a normal 500 and converted it into one desirable hot hatch that has a massive 190PS. It’s four cylinder, 1.4litre turbo motor has been tweaked so aggressively that it now propels this 997kg mouse of a car to 100km/h in just 5.9seconds, that’s sports-car figures. Abarth also claims that this gives the 695 best power-to-weight ratio in its segment. Isn’t that a bit too obvious.
You maybe thinking that if it is a performance car then it would have a dual clutch gearbox but you would be wrong to believe that. This tiny Italian uses a proper racing gearbox from Bacci Romano and has a long stick shifter that evokes racy feel. Abarth Corsa by Sabelt racing seats, full racing harness, MXL digital data logger and a cabin, dipped in black shade, which reminds you of asphalt. On the outside it may look like a subtle baby racer however, the 18-inch OZ alloys, Brembo brakes and a racier body kit make the 695 a proper drool tool. It is one awesome looking machine that unfortunately will not be heading to Indian shores. But we can always look at these pictures and let our heart fall in love with this wonderful little Italian.
