Datsun, the entry car brand of the Renault-Nissan alliance have released a sketch of a sedan to be launched in Russia in the future.
The company has revealed a sketch of a sedan based on the platform of Go hatchback and Go+ MPV. The new car will be revealed on April 4. Obviously, we expect to see the sedan offered in India as well and can now expect a launch following its unveil for select global markets.
As far as the new Go Sedan goes, we hope to see increased space compared to the hatch as well as a larger boot volume. Equipment levels may be improved slightly to go with the increase in price, but nothing on that front has been revealed. Expect to see the same engine 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol motor in the car as well, with its 68 PS and 104 Nm. We cannot rule out the addition of the renowned and extremely frugal K9K 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine, probably in the same state of tune as the Micra, with 65 PS and 160 Nm of torque. Both cars should sport the same 5-speed manual transmission as well.
