Audi Team Up With Tottenham Hotspur

English Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur FC have announced that German car manufacturer Audi will be the club’s official car partner. Audi and the ‘Spurs have signed a four-year agreement.

This deal works well for both sides as Tottenham Hotspur FC are a top-tier English team and will be participating in the most prestigious club competition in the world, the Champions League, where Audi and their four-ring badge will feature on advertising systems, big screens, the club’s TV network and the club’s new home, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Similarly for Tottenham, with this agreement, they join quite a group of teams under similar agreements, German giants Bayern Munich and Spanish El-Classico rivals, Barcelona and Real Madrid, to name a few. Those three names are enough to make any football fan a bit light-headed. Audi host a couple of pre-season tournaments, such as the Audi Cup, which pips these Audi-associated top-tier teams against each other; a good circle for Tottenham Hotspur to be part of, we believe.

Audi says that their philosophy lines up perfectly with that of the ‘Spurs. Vorsprung durch Technik – ‘Advancement through technology’ and Tottenham’s Audere est Facere – ‘To dare is to do’. Well, I see their point, I think.

Mauricio Pochettino, manager of Tottenham, and his team of top players were recently given a special preview of Audi’s brand new SUV, the Q8, at the club’s training centre. The Audi Q8 will soon make its UK debut, making the team one of the few to get a proper introduction of this new luxury SUV.

Fran Jones, Head of Partnerships of Tottenham Hotspur FC, said “Audi is a premium brand, so we are delighted to have it on board alongside a number of other leading club partners. We look forward to welcoming Audi and offering them the opportunity to showcase their products across the club.”

Director of Audi UK, Andrew Doyle stated, “The partnership brings two progressive brands together – Audi and Spurs. The Club’s legendary captain Danny Blanchflower famously spoke of ‘doing things in style’ – this, with our commitment to quality, guides everything we do. Our shared principles of beautiful design and the most advanced technologies further cement our belief that Audi and ‘Spurs will be the perfect marriage.”
