Audi have officially launched its A3 entry-level sedan in India at Rs 22.95 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The A3 comes with two engine options, the 1.8-litre TFSI direct-injection turbo-petrol and the 2.0-litre diesel variant. Officials at Audi also revealed that the new A3 would go on sale in four different trim options – Attraction, Premium, Premium Plus and Technology (Diesel) and Premium Plus (Petrol).
The A3 is being referred to as called as the ‘Next Big Audi’ since the German carmakers are betting it big on its success in the market. The most affordable Audi in India is also one of the best-looking compact sedans in the market today, featuring a retractable 7-inch touchscreen multimedia infotainment system with handwriting recognition, panoramic sunroof, 16 and 17 inch alloy wheels and loads of other luxury bells and whistles.
With its aggressive pricing, the Audi A3 sedan competes with the luxury hatchbacks from its German rivals – The BMW 1-series and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
