The V12 Vantage bloodline which boldly represented Aston Martin’s passion towards performance is finally coming to a close after fifteen years. To celebrate the iconic lineage, Aston Martin have introduced their ‘fastest, fiercest and most dynamically accomplished’ new Aston Martin V12 Vantage.
This is the fastest and most powerful iteration of the Vantage ever built. The 5.2-litre, V12 engine develops 700 hp at 6,500 rpm and 753 Nm of torque from as low as 1,800 rpm all the way up to 6,000 rpm, propelling the Vantage from 0-60 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and helping achieve a top speed of 320 km/h.
The power is fed through a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and a mechanical Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) mounted at the rear of the car. The V12 Vantage receives a unique transmission calibration to enhance shift speeds and driver interaction with learnings taken from the V12 Speedster and Vantage F1 Edition models.
To provide unmistakable engine performance and character, while ensuring the driver truly remains at the centre of the driving experience, Aston Martin have equipped the Vantage with a new adaptive damping suspension system including new anti-roll bars, bushes, and spring and damper assemblies. These changes are also supported by a new steering calibration, improving steering feel and delivering a sharper response – and in turn, an enhanced driver experience.
To stop all that immense power, the V12 Vantage features a Carbon Ceramic Braking (CCB) system as standard with 410-mm discs and six-piston calipers at the front while the rear gets 360-mm discs paired with four-piston calipers. These CCB discs have been engineered to resist brake fade at temperatures up to 800 degrees, helping the V12 Vantage unleash its full performance potential while giving the driver maximum confidence and precise control.
To provide increased air flow, the front grille is now 25 per cent larger. In addition to that, a distinct ‘horse shoe’ design for the engine vent has been integrated into the bonnet, enhancing cooling and echoing the design character of the magnificent Vantage GT12, Aston Martin’s road-going tribute to the legendary V12 Vantage GT3 racer.
Aston Martin offer a dynamic package on the new V12 Vantage that provides a choice between two new designs of 21-inch alloy wheels plus an optional lightweight wheel that saves a further eight kg. Michelin Pilot 4S high performance tyres – 275/35 R21 front and 315/30 R21 at the rear – are standard fitment on all rims.
The Vantage also gets a new carbon-fibre performance seat with exposed Twill carbon fibre shell and manual six-way adjustment available as an option, offering a supportive seat design for those enhanced driving dynamics and a distinct design character, saving 7.3 kg without compromising comfort.
To further enhance the dramatic styling both outside and inside, every V12 Vantage can be individually tailored through the marque’s bespoke personalisation service, Q by Aston Martin that offers a variety of unique options from which customers can create a true one-of-a-kind specification.
Production of the V12 Vantage is strictly limited to 333 units globally – the order book for which is already closed due to unprecedented demand – and is scheduled to begin deliveries during Q2 2022.
