British sportcar makers, Aston Martin, have completed 100 years of existence as car manufacturers and, to
celebrate this, they have launched a special edition of their Vanquish.
The special-edition package will be available in the DB9, Rapide and the V8 Vantage as well and Aston Martin will produce 100 units of each car, which will feature a special silver shade of body paint and a special Aston Martin monogram. Inside the cabin, the cars will have black upholstery in special soft leather used only in the hallowed One-77. Buyers will also get a celebration box, which has glass keys, two pouches in the same special silver colour, solid silver cuff-links bearing the Aston Martin monogram, a solid silver roller ball pen, Bang &Olufsen headphones and even a silver polishing cloth.
Along with the special-edition models, Aston Martin have also revealed a facelift version of their Rapide, called the Rapide S. Its styling is identical to the outgoing model, but it does have subtle changes in the exterior styling. The Rapide S gets an all-black interior with the option of personalisation and the company has improved the NVH levels. The naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 engine of the Rapide S has been further tuned to produce a staggering 555 PS of power and 620 Nm of torque. Along with that, Aston have also worked on the car’s dynamic ability by making upgrades in the steering system, suspension, braking and electronics to make it capable of handling all that power. This one’s going to be a veritable rocket and, what’s more, it will come to India.
