The Maruti Suzuki WagonR based EV has been spotted once again being test-driven by the Indian Japanese automobile giant.
Word is that the name XL5 might be slapped onto the new electric car, but, Maruti Suzuki have not confirmed anything yet. The new car would be sold by Maruti Suzuki’s premium Nexa dealerships. but, as for a launch date, we plead the fifth.
There is no word yet about what electrical motor would power the car. Nevertheless, this is Maruti Suzuki, hence, range and maintenance should be well-taken care off. However, the features list should include a large infotainment system and other standard creature comforts. We also see the design based on the WagonR which should mean that cabin space would be fairly apt.
Maruti Suzuki would like this new electrical vehicle to be capable of being used on the daily, becoming the first and only in a whole new segment in India. As far as price is concerned, well once again this is Maruti Suzuki, hence, ‘competitive’ is the keyword here. We shall keep you updated with the future word on this interesting topic.
