Audi host the Q-Drive in Car India’s home town
The Q range of SUVs from Audi are luxurious cars with go-anywhere capabilities.
However, most of these cars spend their lives crawling in the city traffic, with occasional long drives thrown in. They are kept spick and span and are driven by chauffeurs since the premium status of the Qs have also made them status symbols for their owners.
The Audi Q-Drive is an initiative by the company to let the present owners and prospective buyers of their SUVs experience and enjoy the off-roading capabilities of their cars without any concern.
After visiting various places across the country, the latest edition of the Q-Drive was held recently in Pune in association with Pashanakar Auto India, the authorised dealers of the brand in the city. Pashankar and Audi had provided six cars that included the Q3, Q5 and the Q7 SUVs, which the participants drove on a specially prepared off-road course in Koregaon Park.
There were two instructors from Audi to guide the participants and the course had three different levels, based on the difficulty of the terrain. There were inclines, declines, trenches and slush patches across the field where the participants got a first-hand demonstration of the features like the ‘quattro’ all-wheel-drive system. About 250 customers drove the cars during the three-day event, which is an indicator of the enthusiasm and the success of this initiative.
