Ford are finally ready to launch the 2015 Mondeo sedan, the Mondeo Hybrid and the Mondeo Wagon early next year in the UK.
The Ford Mondeo sedan comes with refreshed design cues, upgraded features and more power under the hood. It sports an elegant styling quotient with LED headlamps, along with DRLs and Adaptive Headlamp technology as well as alloy wheels. The interiors boast of electric power steering, 8” SYNC infotainment display, Bluetooth connectivity, satellite navigation, dual zone air-conditioning and a digital instrument cluster.
Apart from the updated cabin, the Mondeo also features state-of-the-art safety features such as inflatable rear seatbelts, automatic braking with pedestrian detection, parking assist, active lane assist and Torque Vectoring.
The Mondeo is available in three diesel trims: a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TDCi, sequential-turbocharged engine, which churns out 210 PS and 450 Nm of torque as well as a 2.0-litre TDCi, turbo-diesel with a single variable geometry turbine, producing 150 PS or 180 PS. All the three revised diesel engines sport new cylinder heads, fuel injectors and NOx trap exhausts to reduce the CO2 emissions.
The petrol variants also come with three engine options: the award-winning 1.0-litre three-cylinder EcoBoost engine with 125 PS, a 1.5-litre EcoBoost with 160 PS and, for the true petrolheads, a 2.0-litre EcoBoost with 240 PS.
The all new 2015 Ford Mondeo is gearing up to showcase the car at the Paris Motor Show and shall look to revive Mondeo’s past glory. We wish Ford India bring it in too.
