After thrilling the audiences with its new Octavia, Skoda has gone a step ahead and have released these photos of the latest generation of its premium sedan the Superb.
The new car features extensive re-designed exteriors along with fresh new interiors and also a class leading rear legroom (claimed). The new Superb will be making its international début at the upcoming Shanghai Motor Show on April 19th 2013. Skoda will be offering the new Superb with three engines options that include the 2.0litre TDI 140PS motor and a more powerful version of the 2.0litre TDI that will produce 170PS of power and will be mated to a six speed DSG box. This variant will also feature a four wheel drive system. Along with these two diesel motors the company is also going to offer a 1.4litre 125PS TSI petrol motor. Skoda is claiming that these engines are more economical and fuel efficient compared to the older models engines. We expect the company to bring in the 2.0litre diesel option however, the 1.4litre TSI petrol motor might not be made available in India.
Initially, Skoda will be launching the car in Europe in June end and we expect the company to launch it in India before Diwali. Pricing details of the car have not been revealed yet however, the price will be known once they announce the car in Shanghai.
