Rolls-Royce_Wraith_1_webRolls-Royce have just launched their all-new fastback, the Wraith, in India. The Wraith is their third model in their very exclusive line-up comprising the Ghost and the Phantom.

The all-new Wraith is a departure from what can only be perceived as convention for the company as it is a four-seater coupé. Essentially, it is a sport-oriented luxury model featuring a fastback design with Rolls-Royce coach doors in a two-door, four-seater layout and a distinct sloping roof.

Bringing the power is a massive 6.6-litre, turbocharged V12 with direct injection – essentially the same unit from the Ghost – but tuned to produce 632 PS and 800 Nm of torque; making it the most powerful motor Rolls-Royce has ever made. It is paired to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Peak torque comes in from just 1,500 rpm and the company claims a 0-100 km/h sprint of just 4.6 seconds.

Herfried Hasenoehri, General Manager for Emerging Markets – Asia for Rolls-Royce, said, “Today we are proud to reveal the most dynamic and powerful Rolls-Royce ever built. Rolls-Royce has enjoyed a great and lengthy history in India, and we’re happy to greet our customers here with an exceptional new model. Wraith offers luxury, performance and refinement. All with the Rolls-Royce quality and craftsmanship expected of its pinnacle cars.”

The all-new Rolls-Royce Wraith will be a part of a three month tour by the company, beginning in New Delhi, following which it will be part of various events in Chandigarh, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Prices starts from Rs 4.6 crore (ex-showroom).
